Parking Services is happy to announce that the Claiborne Lot will re-open for parking on Wednesday, Feb. 25. During the closure of this area, Claiborne Lot underwent renovations and the Indoor Practice Facility for sports teams was constructed.
Claiborne Lot is a Red Zone parking location. This means the lot requires a commuter, faculty, or staff permit for parking on Mondays through Fridays at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Please pay attention to posted signs throughout the area, especially reserved spaces.
New student move-in for Spring 2026 will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 7. In an effort to accommodate the students who will be moving onto campus, parking and traffic will be impacted as follows:
Tuesday, Jan. 6 to Wednesday, Jan. 7
- All parking spaces on McAlister Drive in front of Butler House and Katherine and William Mayer Residences will be blocked.
- All parking spaces on Drill Road along the residence hall side will be blocked.
Wednesday, Jan. 7
- Janet Yulman Way will be closed.
- Access to campus at Newcomb Place and Willow Street will be by Splash Card only for faculty and staff.
- Ben Weiner Drive will be one-way for traffic from Claiborne Avenue to the Diboll Garage entrance.
Please plan accordingly and pay attention to all signs and personnel.
The Tulane Green Wave football team will host the American Conference Championship game against North Texas at Yulman Stadium, Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. All parking spaces will be used for fan parking on game day, except for designated student parking areas.
Allied Universal Event Services will have personnel present at Newcomb Place and Willow Street and at the Oak Lot entrance on Friday, Dec. 5, reminding Tulane affiliates they need to exit campus by 2:30 p.m.
The Diboll Parking Garage will be restricted to Resident Student Permits and Tulane Football gameday digital parking pass holders starting on Friday, Dec. 5 at 3:00 p.m. Students with residential permits must move vehicles to the fifth through sixth floors of Diboll Parking Garage by 2:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5. All others must park offsite by then. Usual parking resumes two hours post-game. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and relocated to Engineering Road.
Please also note that Janet Yulman Way will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 10 p.m. before game day.
If you have a nonresident parking permit, please remember that all vehicles must be moved off campus by 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 in preparation for the Tulane Green Wave football game against the Charlotte 49ers at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at Yulman Stadium.
All campus parking areas, except those reserved for student residents, will be used for game day parking. Nonresident permit holders may not leave vehicles on campus during the Thanksgiving break.
Any nonresident vehicles left on campus after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 will be ticketed and relocated to Engineering Road. Vehicles towed due to game day parking restrictions must be removed from Engineering Road by 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1.
Please move your vehicle before the deadline to avoid towing and relocation fees. We appreciate your cooperation as we prepare campus for game day and the holiday weekend.
