Game Day Parking Restriction, October 18-19

The Tulane Green Wave football team will play Rice University at Yulman Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2:30 p.m. All parking spaces will be used for fan parking on game day except for designated student resident parking areas.
 
Students with residential parking permits must park on the top two floors (fifth and sixth floors) of the Diboll Parking Garage. Residential students are required to move their vehicles before 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18. 
 
Anyone parked on the uptown campus, who is not a student with a residential parking permit, is required to park off site by 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18. Regular parking operations will resume two hours after the end of the game on Saturday, Oct 19. This two-hour window will allow fans to leave campus safely and mitigate any traffic problems. 
 
We ask for your continued cooperation in helping us avoid having to tow vehicles. Any vehicles parked in violation of game day restrictions after 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 will be ticketed and relocated to University Square. 
 

UPDATED: Extended Sewerage Work, through October 15

The Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans has extended the project working on sewerage main lines near Plum Street. Their work is expected to continue on Friday, Oct. 11 and end Sunday, Oct. 13  Tuesday, Oct. 15.

During this SWBNO project, there will be no access to Plum Street and no ability to cross Plum Street. Parking will be limited on Audubon Street and Newcomb Place. Please use alternate routes and adhere to all posted signage. 

Please note the following restrictions to traffic and parking:

  • There will be no parking allowed on Plum Street for the duration of this work. The lane closest to Newcomb Children's Center will be open as a fire lane and pick-up and drop-off area only. There will be no through-access for any trucks or large vehicles. 
  • Parking will be limited on Audubon Street and Newcomb Place. Please adhere to posted signage.
    When driving down Newcomb Circle, there will be no right-turn onto Audubon Street allowed.
  • Traffic must continue through Newcomb Circle and exit onto Newcomb Place.
  • Plum Street will be unavailable for the duration of this work. Vehicles and golf carts will need to use alternate routes.

 

Fireproofing Installation at the Tidewater Garage, October 14 - 20

Please review the following alert from Tulane University Facilities Services. Please note that some of the fifth floor of the Tidewater Garage will be unavailable for parking as fireproofing is installed. This work is expected to take place from Monday, Oct. 14 until Sunday, Oct. 20.

  • Location: Tidewater Building, Seventh-Floor Plant and Parking Garage
  • Start: Monday, Oct. 14 at 7 a.m.
  • End: Sunday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m.
  • Purpose: To install fireproofing on the new steel beams in preparation for the new air-cooled chiller and generator.
  • Impact: There will be no shutdowns associated with this work. Occupants of the building may see the team as they make their way to the seventh-floor plant and the parking garage. A portion of the garage on the fifth floor will be sectioned off as the fireproofing is applied to various beams in the area. There will be no parking allowed in the sectioned-off area.

Parking in the Lasalle and Saratoga Garages extended to 4 p.m. on Friday, September 13

Parking Services is extending the time frame to remove vehicles from the Lasalle and Saratoga Garages to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13. Any vehicle in these garages after 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13 will have to pay to exit the garages.
