Parking access during Thanksgiving break has changed this year, so please read this email carefully.

The Tulane Green Wave football team will play the University of Memphis in Yulman Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m. All parking spaces will be used for fan parking on game day except for designated student resident parking areas.

Only resident student permit holders can park in designated areas before leaving for Thanksgiving break. Commuter students cannot leave their vehicles on campus during the break due to the Thanksgiving game.

Students with residential parking permits are required to park on the fourth or fifth floors in the Diboll Parking Garage. Residential permit holders are encouraged to move their vehicles before leaving for Thanksgiving break but no later than Friday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m.

Anyone parked on the uptown campus, who is not a student with a residential parking permit, is required to park off site by Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. Usual parking operations will resume two hours after the end of the game on Thursday, Nov. 28. This two-hour window will allow fans to leave campus safely and mitigate any traffic problems.

We ask for your continued cooperation in helping us avoid towing vehicles. Any vehicles parked in violation of game day restrictions on Wednesday, Nov. 27 after 5:30 p.m. will be ticketed and relocated to University Square.

Dear Tulane Permit Holder,

Saturday, November 16 to Tuesday, November 19

The Department of Public Works (DPW) began nighttime construction on Gravier Street between Loyola Avenue and LaSalle Street on Nov. 7. This work impacts 1315 Gravier, including the Hutchinson and HEAL garage exits. Construction closures are expected to last through Saturday, Dec. 7.

This project includes asphalt patching, surface milling, resurfacing, sidewalk repair and ADA-compliant ramp installation. Daytime concrete construction is expected but has not yet been scheduled.

Please be sure to follow these instructions from Tulane Parking Services:

Vehicles parked in Hutchinson Garage and HEAL Garage must be removed Sunday through Thursday before 8 p.m. or else there is a risk of being unable to exit the garages until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Please relocate your vehicle to the Lasalle Garage located on Lasalle Street at Tulane Avenue across from the emergency room. Pull a validation ticket to access the garage. The gate arm will be in the up position allowing you to exit without payment between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning.

Likewise, vehicles will not be able to access the 1300 block of Gravier Street to get to the entrance of the Hutchinson Garage between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Please know that this remains a fluid situation. Campus Services will continue to update stakeholders as it evolves. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
