  • Sunday, Feb. 16: Due to the Tulane Formula Racing Club Car Show, all of Newcomb Place between the Berger Family Lawn and Newcomb Quad will be closed to parking and traffic.

Please expect  an increase in traffic on Ben Weiner Drive due to the high number of vehicles on campus. Additional home baseball games may impact parking and traffic throughout the remainder of the spring semester. Game schedules can be found at: tulanegreenwave.com

The city is paving the 1300 block of Gravier Street, behind the library and the Hutchinson garage. If the street is blocked off on Sunday, Jan. 26, please use the alternative parking option in the LaSalle garage, which is the garage across from the Tulane Emergency Room.

Universal Parking manages the LaSalle garage and will have exit gate arms in the up position. Those with valid Tulane Splash Card IDs who have parked in the garage will not have to pay to exit the garage. Those with Hutchinson contracts will still have to pull a ticket to gain access into the garage off of LaSalle Street. FYI: The exit leads out to Villere Street.

This alternative parking option will be in place by noon on Sunday, Jan. 26 and will remain in effect  through Monday, Jan. 27 if the Gravier Street entrance to Hutchinson is still not accessible.

Parking access during Thanksgiving break has changed this year, so please read this email carefully.

The Tulane Green Wave football team will play the University of Memphis in Yulman Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m. All parking spaces will be used for fan parking on game day except for designated student resident parking areas.

Only resident student permit holders can park in designated areas before leaving for Thanksgiving break. Commuter students cannot leave their vehicles on campus during the break due to the Thanksgiving game.

Students with residential parking permits are required to park on the fourth or fifth floors in the Diboll Parking Garage. Residential permit holders are encouraged to move their vehicles before leaving for Thanksgiving break but no later than Friday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m.

Anyone parked on the uptown campus, who is not a student with a residential parking permit, is required to park off site by Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. Usual parking operations will resume two hours after the end of the game on Thursday, Nov. 28. This two-hour window will allow fans to leave campus safely and mitigate any traffic problems.

We ask for your continued cooperation in helping us avoid towing vehicles. Any vehicles parked in violation of game day restrictions on Wednesday, Nov. 27 after 5:30 p.m. will be ticketed and relocated to University Square.
