Tulane Parking Services has activated Restricted Mode parking in the Diboll Parking Garage on the uptown campus to allow us to accommodate our parking permit holders while also ensuring the safety of our community during the upcoming severe weather forecast. Campus will close today, Tuesday, September 10 at 5 p.m. Entry to the Diboll Parking Garage will no longer be allowed at that time until the university re-opens.
Restricted Mode on the uptown campus allows Diboll Parking Garage access only to faculty, staff, and students with annual uptown permits.
During Restricted Mode, the following policies are in place and enforced by the Tulane University Police Department and Parking Services personnel:
- Only Tulane staff, faculty, and students with a current annual uptown campus parking permit will be allowed access into the garage based on availability. Contractors or affiliates with parking permits will not be allowed access.
- To access the Diboll Parking Garage during Restricted Mode, be prepared to show your Splash Card so that Parking Services and TUPD may grant access into the garage.
- Purchase of an uptown campus annual permit does not guarantee a parking space in the Diboll Parking Garage during Restricted Mode.
- Parking will not be allowed on the ground floor. Spaces on the fifth floor up-ramp to the rooftop, and sixth floor rooftop of the garage are reserved for university essential personnel only.
Uptown parking options for non-permit holders:
- Tulane downtown garages will not be accessible for uptown permit and non-permit holders.
- The LaSalle and Saratoga Garages will offer parking at no charge to Tulane affiliates starting today, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. through Thursday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. Anyone parked in the garage after 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 will need to pay to exit the garage.
