The Tulane Green Machine is a collaborative group of people across multiple administrative divisions dedicated to making campus buildings more sustainably designed, run, and maintained. The university is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. The university requires all new construction be Certified by the Green Building Certification Institute, administrators of the LEED Program, at a minimum of the LEED Silver level. Nine members of the Green Machine are LEED Accredited Professionals.
LEED Certified Projects
Tulane University currently has 5 buildings and 2 renovations certified by the U.S. Green Building council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program and several more projects underway with the goal of achieving LEED Certification at or above the Silver level.
