ADA Parking

Tulane University provides accessible parking. Please review the following information for placards and permits required for the uptown campus.

State-issued License Plate or Placard: Faculty, staff, students, vendors, and visitors with a valid Tulane parking permit and a state-issued ADA license plate or placard may park in an ADA parking space or a legal space close to their campus building.  Permits are not valid in reserved spaces or hourly spaces.

Medical Need Permit: Medical Need permits may be issued to students, faculty, or staff members who suffer a short-term disability which limits or impairs their ability to walk. Parking Services has partnered with Goldman Center for Student Accessibility and Campus Accessibility to support faculty, staff, and students with a medical need to park close to campus buildings (rather than just areas their parking permit is valid) when they do not have a state-issued ADA license plate or placard.  Please contact Goldman Center for Student Accessibility and Campus Accessibility, if you are requesting a Medical Need permit. These permits do not allow parking in ADA, reserved, or hourly parking spaces.  Those who do not already have an annual parking permit must pay for daily parking, $5/day.

If you have questions or require assistance purchasing an accessible permit, please contact parking@tulane.edu

ANNUAL H PERMITS:

STUDENTS, FACULTY, & STAFF

I have a state-issued ADA license plate or hang-tag. Where can I park?

You must have a valid Tulane parking permit in order to park on campus to avoid citations. Either purchase an annual parking permit from Campus Services or purchase a daily parking pass for $5/day as needed. In order to park in ADA spaces on campus, display your state-issued placard or license plate as well as have a valid Tulane permit.

MEDICAL NEEDS PERMITS:

STUDENTS, FACULTY, & STAFF

I don’t have a state-issued ADA plate or hang-tag. How do I purchase a Medical Needs Permit?

Medical Need permits are issued for mobility needs that will last less than three months, with one 3-month extension available with follow-up and approval through Goldman Center for Student Accessibility and Campus Accessibility. Please contact Goldman Center for Student Accessibility and Campus Accessibility, if you are requesting a Medical Need permit.  If you already have purchased an annual parking permit, you may obtain a Medical Need permit by contacting Campus Services at (504) 865-5441 (option 2) or visiting the office in the Lavin-Bernick Center for no additional fee. This tag will expire upon the duration approved by Goldman Center for Student Accessibility and Campus Accessibility.
