The Tulane Green Wave football team will host a home game against Northwestern University at Yulman Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. All parking spaces will be used for fan parking on game day except for designated student resident parking areas.

Student Parking Instructions

Students with residential permits must move vehicles to the fifth or sixth floor of Diboll Garage by 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29. The Diboll Parking Garage will be restricted to Resident Student Permits starting on Friday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m.

Non-Resident Parking Requirements

All other vehicles must be moved off campus by 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29. Regular parking resumes two hours after the game ends.

Towing and Relocation

Vehicles in violation of game day parking restrictions after 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29 will be ticketed and relocated to Engineering Road. Vehicles in violation that were towed to Engineering Road must be removed by 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 1.
 

Janet Yulman Way will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, through Monday, Sept. 1, for game day operations and scheduled tree maintenance.
 
A tree trimming crew will be on site Monday, Sept. 1 (Labor Day) to trim and lift trees along the roadway. To ensure safety and efficiency, the street will remain closed throughout the weekend.

Tulane University will welcome approximately 5,000 students to campus for the fall semester, beginning Sunday, Aug. 10 at 8 a.m. To support these move-in activities, uptown campus parking restrictions will be in place all day Friday, Aug. 8 until Saturday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. Please read the following details for more information on the expected impacts to parking and traffic during student move-in.

Friday, August 8 through Saturday, August 16

The following parking areas will be blocked:
    •    All parking spaces on Janet Yulman Way.
    •    All parking spaces on McAlister Drive in front of Katherine & William Mayer Residences and Butler House.
    •    All parking spaces on Drill Road on the residence hall side.

Sunday, August 10 through Saturday, August 16

Campus entry from Claiborne Avenue via Ben Weiner Drive will be limited to students and their families. Additionally, all parking spaces between Willow Street and Claiborne Avenue, including Diboll Garage, will be reserved for students.
Parking for employees with faculty and staff annual permits will be available in the following areas:
    •    Newcomb Circle (reserved for faculty)
    •    Newcomb Place
    •    Drill Road (limited spaces)
    •    Zimple Street and Audubon Street lots
    •    Regular parking areas between St. Charles Avenue and Freret Street

Newcomb Place between Willow Street and Drill Road has reopened ahead of schedule. The road closure originally planned through Friday, August 1 is no longer in effect.

Campus Access Update:

  • You may now enter and exit campus via Newcomb Place.
  • McAlister Drive at Willow Street remains open for campus exit.

SWBNO Infrastructure Update

Due to ongoing construction challenges and the need for additional repairs to underground infrastructure, the full closure of Newcomb Place between Willow Street and Drill Road will remain in effect through Friday, August 1.

  • Enter campus via Audubon Street at Willow Street.
  • Exit campus via McAlister Drive at Willow Street.

Additional Temporary Parking Impacts: July 28 to July 30

The contractor working on the housing project will be demobilizing the trailer onsite from Monday, July 28 through Wednesday, July 30. During this time:

  • The last 12 parking spaces on McAlister Drive at Willow Street by Butler Hall will be blocked.
  • The (2) ADA spaces in this area will be temporarily relocated.
