The Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans has extended the project working on sewerage main lines near Plum Street. Their work is expected to continue on Friday, Oct. 11 and end Sunday, Oct. 13 Tuesday, Oct. 15.
During this SWBNO project, there will be no access to Plum Street and no ability to cross Plum Street. Parking will be limited on Audubon Street and Newcomb Place. Please use alternate routes and adhere to all posted signage.
Please note the following restrictions to traffic and parking:
- There will be no parking allowed on Plum Street for the duration of this work. The lane closest to Newcomb Children's Center will be open as a fire lane and pick-up and drop-off area only. There will be no through-access for any trucks or large vehicles.
- Parking will be limited on Audubon Street and Newcomb Place. Please adhere to posted signage.
When driving down Newcomb Circle, there will be no right-turn onto Audubon Street allowed. - Traffic must continue through Newcomb Circle and exit onto Newcomb Place.
- Plum Street will be unavailable for the duration of this work. Vehicles and golf carts will need to use alternate routes.
