Newcomb Children's Center
Thank you for considering Newcomb Children's Center (NCC) for your child's care. We base our program on the belief that every child is an individual and should be treated as a special and unique person. Our program is designed to help each child grow and develop at their own pace. We encourage children to choose from the array of planned, developmentally appropriate activities we offer. We place special emphasis on learning through play.
Our schedules include planned activities for emotional, social, physical and cognitive growth. Both active and quiet types of activities are available to the children throughout the day. Rest and nap time are a part of the afternoon schedule. Quality meals and snacks are served to the children daily. Our main goal is to provide high quality childcare in an easily accessible location at a reasonable price.
Newcomb Children's Center is located on Tulane's uptown campus and offers programs for children twelve months to five years of age.

- Discovery, exploration, investigation, and problem solving
- Artistic expression and appreciation
- Cooperation, physical capabilities, health, and safety
The center's environment is designed to support the acquisition of strong social-emotional, cognitive, language, physical, and creative skills. We believe that children are active learners who need hands-on play experiences to thrive. Our classrooms use enriched, child-centered learning spaces and project-based approaches that allow children to engage in abundant play and learning experiences.
At NCC, you will find:
- Aesthetically pleasing, child-centered classrooms with low teacher-to-child ratios
