The University Commencement Ceremony takes place on Saturday, May 16 from 9am-11am in Yulman Stadium on the uptown campus. All graduates and their families are welcome to attend — no tickets required! This colorful ceremony honors all Tulane graduates with musical performances and speeches from President Fitts and the 2020 Commencement speaker. Diplomas are not awarded during this ceremony.
Individual school graduation ceremonies are held following Unified Commencement to honor graduates from each school. Visit the Commencement website to find out when your school is holding their ceremony. If you have any questions about this ceremony, please contact your school’s commencement coordinator.
Wave Goodbye will be held on Friday, May 15, 6pm-8pm on the Gibson Quad. Graduates will be allotted seven tickets at no charge, one of which must be used by the graduate to enter the party. No tickets are required for children under the age of 10. Tickets must be printed to enter Wave Goodbye, and information about how to access tickets will be emailed mid-April.
With the exception of MD students, all graduating students will receive their diplomas via FedEx delivery to the address indicated by the student on their application for degree. Diplomas will be shipped 3-4 weeks after Commencement. If you need to update the mailing addresses originally submitted on your degree application, you can do so in the student tab in Gibson Online.
