Impending Weather Alert: Friday, May 25, 2018

Campus preparations will begin on Friday, May 25. On the downtown campus, flood boards will be installed at all rear and side entrances to buildings; please only use front doors. On the uptown campus, storm drains and rooftops will be inspected, and sand bags will be placed in known problem areas.

What events are held during the weekend of Commencement?

What is the Unified Commencement Ceremony?

The Unified Commencement Ceremony takes place on Saturday, May 19 from 9am-11am in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. All graduates and their families are welcome to attend — no tickets required! This colorful ceremony honors all Tulane graduates with musical performances and speeches from President Fitts and the 2018 Commencement speaker. Diplomas are not awarded during this ceremony.

What are school graduation ceremonies?

Individual school graduation ceremonies are held following Unified Commencement to honor graduates from each school. Visit the Commencement website to find out when your school is holding their ceremony. If you have any questions about this ceremony, please contact your school’s commencement coordinator.

How do I get my tickets to Wave Goodbye?

Wave Goodbye will be held on Friday, May 18, 6pm-8pm on the Gibson Quad. Graduates will be allotted seven tickets at no charge, one of which must be used by the graduate to enter the party. No tickets are required for children under the age of 10. Tickets must be printed to enter Wave Goodbye, and information about how to access tickets will be emailed mid-April.

When will I get my diploma?

With the exception of MD students, all graduating students will receive their diplomas via FedEx delivery to the address indicated by the student on their application for degree. Diplomas will be shipped 3-4 weeks after Commencement. If you need to update the mailing addresses originally submitted on your degree application, you can do so in the student tab in Gibson Online.

How do I get my transcript?

Order online by clicking here to visit the Registrar's website. Cost varies depending on delivery method. One free copy per week is available in person. If you have questions about your transcript or diploma, call the Registrar’s Office at (504) 865-5231 or visit them in 110 Gibson Hall.

How do I begin repaying my student loans?

Who is the holder for my Perkins Loan?

Visit the Student Loan Office located in Phelps Hall, Suite 105, call them at (504)865-5366, or email loans@tulane.edu.

How do I forward my mail?

Students living on-campus should complete a Tulane Mail Services forwarding form available at tulane.edu/mail. Students who live off-campus and who receive mail directly from the USPS should contact their local United States post of ce. For questions, email mailbox@tulane.edu.

What happens to my tulane.edu email address?

You will have access to your tulane.edu email address forever!

Are there any discounts offered for lodging & transportation during Commencement weekend?
